Challenge Slider - Dog Puzzle Game in level 3 - Puzzle & Feeder in one. @NinaOttossonPuzzleGames
CHALLENGE SLIDER - DOG PUZZLE GAME
DIFFICULTY LEVEL 3 With 24 hidden treat compartments.
Nina Ottosson treat puzzle games are a great way to engage your dog's mind with challenging and rewarding activity. The Challenge Slider will keep your dog´s mind busy with 24 treat compartments. In this game dogs must move each slider, one at a time, in different directions, to reveal hidden treats or food. Slide, treat, and repeat!
DESCRIPTION
HOW TO PLAY: Place your dog's favorite treats or food in the compartments of the removable tray. Slide the tray back into the game. Supervise, show and encourage your dog to move sliders back and forth to seek treats. If your dog is too rough with his paws, place the game in your lap or on a stool, so that your dog can only use his nose to move the sliders. Let the games begin!
IT`S EASY TO FILL: Pull out the tray, fill compartments with treats or food, slide the tray back again. PLAYING RULES: Because it is a challenging game, we recommend that you play together, and teach your dog the rules of the game and how it works
FUN FOR ALL DOGS: This puzzle is advanced, so it´s best suited for dogs who have played other games before, and have fine motor skills, regardless of age, size or breed.
FROZEN PUZZLE: Mix a little canned meat with water, pour some of the mixture in the tray´s compartments, or place a small piece of tasty treat or food in each compartment, pour a little water, put the game in the freezer and let it set. This is perfect for dogs who need some extra activity.
REDUCES DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIORS: By keeping your dog's mind busy, treat puzzle toys can help reduce unwanted behaviors.
PLAY AND BOND: The Challenge Slider is a great way to bond with your dog while teaching basic training commands in a fun way.
MAKES FEEDING FUN: This treat puzzle can be used to feed your dog healthy treats or dry kibble - solving the food puzzle creates an engaging, slowed-down mealtime.
BPA, PVC & PHTHALATE FREE: Made with food-safe materials that you can trust for your dog.
EASY TO CLEAN: To wash, simply remove all treats/kibble and hand wash with warm soapy water, rinse clean and dry. Fill again for more fun!
IT`S FUN. IT FEEDS. It’s a challenge your dog needs! Nina Ottosson Treat Puzzle Games fight boredom, help reduce destructive behaviors & exercise your dog’s mind. It’s hide & seek with treats, and dogs love it!
CAUTION: This is not a chew toy. Inspect regularly for damage and remove and replace if broken, or if parts become separated, as serious injury may result.
ALWAYS supervise your dog when using the Challenge Slider. Once emptied of treats or kibble, the game should be stored until next supervised use. Intended for pets only. Keep out of reach of children.
Nina Ottosson Dog Puzzle Games ¤ Fights boredom by keeping your dog busy - Boredom Busters ¤ Helps reduce destructive behavior by exercising your dog´s mind. ¤ Strengthen the bond with your dog. ¤ Fun for all dogs - regardless of age & size.

    The puzzle in this video is not the same as what's being sold. The one being sold has got pegs that stop the tiles from moving and the inner orange things have holes on top that a dog can sniff through. Is this like a prototype you are showing? Can you show at least the one you are selling?

      @@Nina_Ottosson I actually bought the new one recently and am a little disappointed with it. It's poorly made. The slide squares don't really line up to the tray underneath. The slide pieces are actually not smooth to move. The locking pegs can't all be pushed into the lock position without really forcing it and at that point my dog gets bored with trying to move it. I have basically 6-7 versions of your puzzles ranging in difficulty, but this would be the most poorly made. The others were at least smooth to slide/move for the dog.

    Thank you Nina for this puzzle (and others). My most beautiful dog had a lot of fears and anxiety, but he loved this puzzle so much and played it until just a couple of months before I had to say goodbye. Thank you for the years of joy it brought him. He could do this one in a matter of seconds - it was his favourite. I will always be thankful x

    My dogs just stare at it and ignore it, if i put the treat close to the edge, the best they did just lick it and try to drag it out without using their paws. Is it because the biscuit treats are hard to move and this wobbler prefer easily movable sphere kibble?

    • @Nina_Ottosson
      @Nina_Ottosson Місяць тому

      Yes, it`s more difficult with flatter treats or food, try putting in round food pieces or treat pieces so that the dogs can more easily understand how to work with it to get the food out.

    • @Nina_Ottosson
      @Nina_Ottosson Місяць тому

      Yes, start easy and step by step make it more difficult. Begin place treats or food in the compartments in the base, next step you cover treats with the leaves, last step you put treats inside the sliding cups, so the cat has to slide the cup sideways until the treat falls into the compartment in the base.

    • @Nina_Ottosson
      @Nina_Ottosson 2 місяці тому

      It´s a level 2 puzzle when placing treats INSIDE the sliding cups through the top holes, so your dog need to slide the cups until the treats fell out in the base compartment. To make it more challenging you can add in all tracks to block the sliding cup with food, treats, fleece pieces, etc. We also have more challenging puzzles in level 3 and 4.

      DogWorker is a level 3 game, age is not so important, it' s food motivation and cleverness that matters, and how we help the dog to understand and show how the game works. It is best to gradually introduce more difficult games, so that the dog understands the concept, I usually recommend starting at least with level 2.

      It's unfortunately not made to be taken apart, it is possible but a bit complicated. An easy way to clean this is to soak it in warm water for a while with soap and then rinse it. We have another similar puzzle that you can easily take apart and also wash in the dishwasher, the Lickin' Layers.

      Some dogs are very clever, sometimes to clever :) We have new puzzles in the pipeline. Here are some tips for our puzzles. (Important to supervise the dog closely when using some of these tips) If you have several puzzle games, you can do a puzzle race with them, put several puzzles in a row and hide some treats in each. Hide several puzzles in different rooms or places, so the dog has to find them, to make it even more difficult, you can hide the puzzles under blankets, towels and pillows. Make a frozen puzzle by adding some natural yogurt or water in each compartment with some tasty treats and then letting the game set in the freezer, keeps the dog busy a little longer. Set up the game on a chair or similar so that the dog can only work with the nose, not the paws, it would usually be a bit more challenging for the dog, especially if it is a paw dog. Cut out cardboard pieces to put over the treats or fleece pieces with rolled treats inside. Lock sliding cups with cut-out cardboard pieces that the dog need remove to be able to slide cups.

    • @Nina_Ottosson
      @Nina_Ottosson 4 місяці тому

      It´s a level 3 puzzle, some dogs can find it to difficult, but I recommend you show him how it works, some dogs can learn by watching, focus on one sliding peg and start easy with the peg in the wheel, place a treat under the peg, slide it out and give the dog, next step is to let the dog slide the peg and take the treat. Next step, place a treat inside the peg and slide it into the wheel and give him the treat, next step let your dog try to slide the peg, etc...You need to have a lot of patient and repeat each step several times. Have fun and praise your dog for eacg succesful step.

      I'm sorry to say that the plastic part in the middle should not be removed, it divides the Maze into an upper and lower part, and the Maze should not be taken apart. You can try and pull it apart with a lot of force, because you need to remove the cut plastic, and then try to put it back together, I hope this works.

      20 minutes is a long time when it comes to puzzles, it is almost impossible to create an affordable puzzle that the dog can work on for over 30 minutes. I would recommend that you freeze the games, add some water or natural yogurt with some different tasty treats or food, this prolong the game time considerably.

    Xmas gift bought for my cat as a step up from level 3 puzzle options which are too easy. She worked out the sides so far, needs to up her game for the centre wheel, and haven't yet used the side blockers. I am pleased she doesn't do this one in a couple of minutes, unfortunately this is aided by the fact the product does not work smoothly, a couple of the squares on one side get stuck and they need my force to slide them along, so there's no way the cat could move them with her paw. I don't know whether it's just my puzzle that has a fault or other people have had this issue? I bought this model because it was recommended by some cat owners but as far as I am concerned the design doesn't entirely work for a cat. I appreciate this is made for dogs therefore they made not have the same issues. I found the whole thing clunky, the middle wheel is also hard to spin with a tendency to stick. My cat doesn't tend to be very forceful which isn't in her favour here. Perhaps bigger cats that tend to be more aggressive with their puzzles might have a different experience? Some squares share a common treat pocket underneath which means the treat will slide from one side to the other at each attempt to get it - perhaps this is meant to add to the "difficulty" - it certainly is frustrating. Cat's claws get caught in the outer plastic edge when trying to get the treat out, half of the time she ends up eating the treat by licking right in the pocket. Some bits of treats get in areas where they are difficult to remove from, making this annoying to clean.

    Xmas gift just bought for my cat as a step up from level 3 puzzle options which are too easy. She worked out the sides so far, needs to up her game for the centre wheel, and haven't yet used the side blockers, so I am happy with the difficulty level. But while I am pleased she doesn't do this one in a couple of minutes, unfortunately this is aided by the fact the product does not work smoothly, a couple of the squares on one side get stuck and they need my force to slide them along, so there's no way the cat could move them with her paw. I don't know whether it's just my puzzle that has a fault or other people have had this issue? Hi, the sliding tiles should be quite easy to slide, don´t know if your cat is to careful when playing or if it has an fault. If you feel there is something wrong with the game you can contact support@outwardhound.com and explain this.

    This is too easy for my cat. Please can you design one a bit more complex. Currently trying the Multipuzzle expert level 4 for dogs but too clunky for cats, the wheel does not spin easily and there are various other issues

    I love this. My cairn terrier is extremely smart, we have many of your puzzles, but once he figures out how they work, he quickly begins to plan for a way to cheat. I’ll give this one a try
